Pelješac Bridge in Croatia set for fast completion with BIGUMA®- Band Plus

With a span of 563 metres and a total length of 2,374 metres, the four-lane Pelješac Bridge will be the largest cable-stayed bridge in Croatia when it’s completed in 2022. Once opened, it will connect the Croatian mainland with the Pelješac peninsula, replacing the more time-consuming ferry connection.

The dga Group is also involved in this prestigious bridge construction. Here it’s supplying around 22,000 metres of its polymer-modified joint tape BIGUMA®- Band Plus in addition to the hot-applied joint sealant BIGUMA®- TL 82 including appropriate primer. “There’s no need to heat our joint tape beforehand thanks to the integrated installation aid. This makes it really quick and easy to lay – so we can do our part towards keeping to the tight schedule until completion,” is how Stefaan Haerinck, Sales Manager at the dga Group, explains the choice for this material.

What’s more, BIGUMA®- Band Plus is characterised by ideal movement absorption for asphalt construction. You can read more about the BIGUMA®- Band Plus joint tape here.
